Marcus draws amber eyes while working on job applications
Three days after the bridge, Marcus Bell doesn't remember the wolf. Not clearly. But he dreams of amber eyes.
Marcus returns to the bridge in daylight
He goes back to the bridge in daylight. Nothing there. Just concrete and river and wind. But the air feels… supervised.
Marcus volunteers at the downtown shelter
He starts volunteering at the shelter downtown. "I don't know why," he tells the coordinator. "Just felt like I owed somebody."
Marcus discovers a child's drawing of a giant wolf
Then, sorting the donation box, he finds it: a child's drawing of a giant wolf. He goes very still.
